April’s Favourites and Feelings
Hello,
May the 4th be with you, (Sorry, I had too)
May the 4th be with you, (Sorry, I had too)
Another month down, which would normally mean another month closer to summer, however I’m getting the feeling that it’s cancelled this year. So far, we appear to have seen one week of glorious sunshine and then the rest of has been blistering winds and a shit ton of rain.
I am happy with how April has gone, it’s provided me with another adventure around the globe to Viva Las Vegas, I got myself plenty of new goodies from my trip, which I shall go into more detail about. I am yet another month down and still without an operation date , and I went to see the new Avengers movie, Infinity War!
My thoughts this months have been positive, I’ve taken more time for me and my health. I spent a lot of time in the gym, and took the time to plan my meals to ensure I am eating the right stuff.
Going to the gym has really lifted my spirits around my body confidence, the changes were noticeable but sadly towards the right end of the month I slipped back into old eating habits and didn’t visit the gym, so with the start of a fresh month I hit the gym, and now feel relatively broken. No pain, no gain right?
Because I cannot wait anymore, I want to show you my makeup goodies, that I picked up from both of the Sephora shops I went to in Vegas!
My most beloved and favourite, has to be my Too Faced ‘life’s a festival’ palette. It’s the sparkliest palette I’ve ever owned and the colours are to die for, I’ve branched out with my brands and got a bit more experimental with my makeup, so this is a perfect new addition. I picked up Tartes Mermaid Tears & Unicorn Tears lipstick, the shimmer on those bad boys make your lips look incredible, so I am so so pleased with those.
Next palette is my Tarte ‘be a mermaid’ palette, again, sparkly eyeshadows in gorgeous shades.
I finally picked up my Kat Von D Alchemist highlighter palette and another tattoo liner. Hands down the best eyeliner I have ever used, stays on all day, so you can have a killer cat eye for the entire day.
Urban Decay's Concealer.. just wow, the coverage is perfect, i've trailed loads of different brands when it comes to concealer, and this is the first one that manages to cover my eye bags! Next Urban goodie, a travel set of their Quick Fix and All Nighter facial sprays, the liquid moondust eyeshadow in Recharged, finally The Heat Petite palette, which is adorable, and all around amazing, I’ve wanted the Heat palette since it came out, but it sold out everywhere, I love this compact version more, because it’s easier to carry around and better size for traveling. My last present to me is some new brushes. I got their travel set of 5 brushes in a gorgeous matte grey case, the plan was to save them for every time I went traveling, but I couldn’t resist and I use them daily. I use 4 out of the 5 brushes when I do my eye makeup, so they were a really good buy.
The bonus of spending this much, was that I got free gifts and samplers both times I went into their shops, so there's an added bonus to the added weight now on my credit card. You can see above the two little boxes at the right top, I got a new day and night cream the try as well as a lipstick and lip crayon in the most gorgeous burgundy red. I've worn it almost everyday since I got it. The last sampler, is a red cay mask, its a small pot, but goes a very long way for the amount you need on your face.
Me and A went to London the day after we landed back in the UK, so we could head over to The Great Frogs temporary store and get our rings sent off to be resized. I also found out that Urban Decay and Too Faced have their own shop down Carnaby Street, which meant I obviously had a have a look and ended up purchasing 2 AMAZING eyeshadows in the shade of Relish and Spike, their eyeshadow primer potion, and the Hi-Fi shine lip gloss.
Our day in london consisted of different pubs in various parts of london, drinking wine in the sun. What a perfect way, to end our holiday time together.
This month has definitely been a good make up month. I don’t tend to buy a lot, and when I do it’s very rare, so it was super nice to stock up in America and London.
I can’t wait to experiment with it all and show you.
I won’t go into any real detail, but Me and A went and saw Infinity War the day of its release and shut the front door. Complete emotional roller coaster from start to finish, almost a traumatic experience. I can NOT wait for next year when the final one comes out, just, O H M Y. Everyone needs to see that film, even if you aren’t marvel fans. Me and A had to sit in the car for a bit when we finally got home, so we could regather our thoughts. We are going o see it again, and I’m not ashamed to say it.
To end my April, I had my third session on my half sleeve. I am one step away from completion, so i'm getting excited to see the end of it. It looked a little odd after this session, that's due to the new shaded area Vs the pre-existing shading. Some little extras where added around the edges.
So our next session is in 2 weeks, and it will be used to finish off shading, touching up areas that fell out and adding the final touches that bring it all together as one piece.
Until next time,
Little P xo

I got taken to my first Vegan Resturant/Cafe by one of my oldest gal pals, we enjoyed our vegan breakfast sandwich at Ancestors, which is one of the quaintest cafe's i've had the pleasure of eating at. They also do the best coffee I've ever had.
It's a few days into May now, but it's still a new month, with another opportunity just waiting around the corner. I'm working more on me, and my career, and this Saturday me and A book our next trip away in September, which is super exciting, we know where we want to go, but i'll post about where we actually book over the weekend!
Tomorrow is Friday, so spirits are high, for the first time since I've worked at my current job, I have a bank holiday Monday off, so i'm going to lay in the sun for the entire 3 days I have off. (That's if the weather forecast is accurate, right?)
Heres to May..
Until next time,
Little P xo
